Ansu Fati 'could return for Barcelona against Bayern Munich'

Ansu Fati could make his return from a hamstring injury in Barcelona's Champions League contest with Bayern Munich, according to a report.

Ansu Fati could reportedly make his return from a hamstring injury in Barcelona's key Champions League contest with Bayern Munich on December 8.

The Catalan giants are currently second in Group E, two points clear of third-placed Benfica, ahead of their trip to already-qualified Bayern next month.

A defeat for Barcelona would leave them vulnerable in the section, but according to Marca, the La Liga giants could be boosted by the return of Fati from injury.

The Spain international worked his way back from a long-term knee injury to feature against Levante at the end of September, and he has scored four times in eight outings at club level this term.

However, the 19-year-old has been sidelined since the start of the month, having picked up a hamstring problem in the 3-3 draw with Celta Vigo on November 6.

Fati is allegedly 'improving rapidly' on the training field and could be back in group sessions on Monday, meaning that a return against Bayern on December 8 is a possibility.

The Spaniard has scored 17 goals and registered six assists in 51 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions since breaking into the first team. body check tags ::
