Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele will make his first start of the 2021-22 campaign against Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.

The Catalan giants need to beat Bayern to guarantee their spot in the last-16 stage of the Champions League, and head coach Xavi has sprung a couple of surprises with his team selection.

Indeed, Sergino Dest will seemingly operate in an advanced area for the visitors, with Ronald Araujo featuring at right-back and Clement Lenglet playing alongside Gerard Pique in the middle of the defence.

Gavi was passed fit after suffering a head injury against Real Betis at the weekend, and the teenager will line up in central midfield alongside Frenkie de Jong and Sergio Busquets.

Memphis Depay will again lead the line for Barcelona, with the Netherlands international looking to score his first Champions League goal of the season.

Meanwhile, the likes of Nico Gonzalez, Philippe Coutinho and Luuk de Jong are on the bench for Xavi's side.

Barcelona XI: Ter Stegen; Araujo, Pique, Lenglet, Alba; Gavi, Busquets, F de Jong; Dest, Memphis, Dembele body check tags ::
