Barcelona manager Gerardo Martino has apologised to the club's supporters in the wake of their 2-1 loss to Real Madrid in the final of the Copa del Rey.
The under-fire coach admitted to feeling "deep pain" following the defeat, but insisted that his side is capable of bouncing back from the defeat.
"I feel a deep pain for this defeat," he said. "I would like to thank our fans for coming all this way to support us and I apologise to them for not being able to win the match.
"It has been a tough week, for sure, and we have to find the strength to pick ourselves up."
Martino went on to stress that he does not believe his future in the role of Barcelona manager has been determined by the defeat to their bitter rivals.
"Now we're not in good shape but this team has a big future. I don't think my own future depends on this game or on the last week," he added.
Goals from Angel di Maria and Gareth Bale either side of a Marc Bartra strike sealed Real's 19th Copa del Rey title.
