Barcelona have progressed into the final of the Copa del Rey following their 1-1 draw away at Real Sociedad this evening, with Gerardo Martino's men winning 3-1 on aggregate.
Barca threatened in the opening stages as Dani Alvez made his way down the right flank before turning in a dangerous cross, which somehow evaded everyone in the box.
Cesc Fabregas thought he was in for a goal in the 14th minute as he looked to get onto a cross from Andreas Iniesta, but the Sociedad defence got across to intercept the danger.
Barca took the lead in the 29th minute as Lionel Messi moved unmarked towards goal, before hammering his finish into the net despite the keeper getting a hand to it.
The hosts almost pulled level before the break, but Pinto did well to deny Carlos Vela who broke through on goal having beaten Alvez for pace.
Barca nearly doubled their lead after the interval, but for Enaut Zubikarai, who pulled off a quick double-save from Messi, who was given two bites at the cherry in the early stages of the second half.
Vela should have equalised for Sociedad in the 60th minute, though Pinto and Javier Mascherano did just about enough to put the striker off his shot.
The hosts did pull a goal back late on through Antoine Griezmann, who drilled home with a standout finish. However, it was too little too late as Barcelona eased through on aggregate to face Real Madrid in the final.
