Lionel Messi will be looking to inspire Barcelona to a win over Real Madrid in the second leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night.
Messi was only fit enough for the bench in the first leg, which finished 1-1 to leave the last-four clash delicately poised ahead of the return in the Spanish capital.
The Argentine will be in the Barca XI on Wednesday night, however, fresh from scoring a hat-trick against Sevilla in La Liga on Saturday afternoon.
Ahead of the midweek showdown, Sports Mole takes a look at how Messi has performed against Madrid.
Messi's record of 26 goals in 39 appearances against Madrid is staggering, while he has also contributed 14 assists in El Clasico.
Eighteen of those goals have come in La Liga, but incredibly, he is yet to score in seven Copa del Rey appearances against Los Blancos and has been on the winning side on just one occasion.
A record of 17 wins in 39 games against Madrid is strong, but he has also been on the losing team on 12 occasions, drawing the other 10.
Injury meant that Messi played no part in Barca's 5-1 win over Madrid in the league earlier this season, while as mentioned, he was a substitute in the 1-1 draw in the first leg of this last-four tie.
Messi both scored and registered an assist, though, in Barca's 3-0 league win at the Bernabeu in December 2017.
