Goals from Lionel Messi and Alex Song have given Barcelona a slender advantage at the interval against Real Zaragoza at the Camp Nou.
The hosts took the lead just after the quarter-hour mark when Messi slotted home from close range after neat build-up by Jordi Alba.
Visiting Zaragoza were back on level terms minutes later when former Barca youngster Paco Montanes had his shot from outside of the area deflected in past Victor Valdes.
Barca soon retook the lead in the 29th minute when Messi fed Alex Song on the edge of the area to fire home.
