Barcelona have struggled to break down a dogged Granada and the teams are tied 0-0 at the Nou Camp at half-time.

Barcelona almost took the lead as early as the seventh minute, but Lionel Messi's effort was well blocked by Granada left-back Guilherme Siqueira.

Granada defended well and Barcelona were not the free-flowing side they have been so far this season. Their next real chance fell to Cesc Fabregas on 23 minutes, but his shot was saved.

In the 31st minute Granada could have snatched the lead, Siqueira forcing Victor Valdes into an excellent stop.

Granada's resilience continued and the visitors hung on until the half-time whistle to go in level.
