Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their La Liga clash with Villarreal.
Sports Mole

Barcelona will be looking to make it back-to-back victories in La Liga when they welcome Athletic Bilbao to Camp Nou on Sunday night.

Xavi's side were top of the table entering the clash with Real Madrid last weekend, but a 3-1 defeat at Bernabeu saw them drop into second position.

The Catalan side managed to return to winning ways on Thursday night, though, putting three unanswered goals past Villarreal at Camp Nou.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Athletic, who currently sit sixth in the table on 18 points.

Memphis Depay

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: October 23 (vs. Athletic Bilbao)

Memphis Depay has been unavailable since suffering a hamstring problem during the September international break, but he has an outside chance of being back in the squad for this match.

Ronald Araujo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Ronald Araujo recently underwent surgery on a thigh problem, which is likely to see him miss the World Cup, and he is not expected to represent Barcelona again until 2023.

Andreas Christensen

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: October 29 (vs. Valencia)

Andreas Christensen remains sidelined with the ankle injury that he picked up against Inter in the Champions League, but the Denmark international is said to be in the latter stages of his recovery.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barcelona have no suspensions for the league clash with Athletic.
