Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez will be unavailable to face his former club Barcelona this weekend, having tested positive for coronavirus while on international duty.
The 33-year-old has been in impressive form for Atletico during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring five goals and providing one assist in six La Liga appearances.
The experienced forward had been set to tackle former club Barca at Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday, but he will now be unavailable due to a positive coronavirus test.
Suarez was on the scoresheet in Uruguay's 3-0 win over Colombia on November 13 but was not available for Tuesday's clash with Brazil, which ended in a 2-0 defeat for Oscar Tabarez's side.
The South American scored 195 times in 283 appearances during his time with Barca but was deemed surplus to requirements ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
Atletico, who are unbeaten in the league since February, are currently third in La Liga, six points above eighth-placed Barca ahead of this weekend's clash.
