Barcelona midfielder Rafinha will reportedly undergo knee surgery on Tuesday afternoon as he begins his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
The Brazilian suffered the season-ending injury in last week's Champions League clash against Roma, just minutes after entering the field as a second-half substitute.
The seriousness of the injury was revealed after the match and according to various reports in Spain, the 22-year-old will undergo an operation on Tuesday, with the medical team expected to release a statement after the surgery has been completed.
Six to nine months on the sidelines has been the diagnoses for the midfielder, who established himself as a key member of Luis Enrique's squad last season after returning from a loan spell at Celta Vigo.
