Qatari side Al-Sadd have reportedly been left furious with Barcelona's pursuit of former midfielder Xavi.
The Catalan giants relieved Ronald Koeman of his duties last week and are thought to have identified Xavi as the leading candidate to take over at Camp Nou.
President Joan Laporta has publicly revealed that he has been in contact with the Al-Sadd boss, but the Qatari giants proceeded to post a Twitter statement affirming that Xavi still has a two-year contract to fulfil.
According to Marca, Al-Sadd feel that Barcelona have treated Xavi's return as a 'done deal' and are angry with the way that the Blaugrana have gone about their business.
The report adds that the Qatari side are yet to receive any formal contact from Barca, who remain 'quietly confident' about their chances of landing the 41-year-old in the near future.
Xavi has overseen 62 wins from 90 games in charge of Al-Sadd, who sit at the top of the Qatar Stars League table with eight wins from eight games this season so far. body check tags ::
