Barcelona are prepared to extend Ronald Koeman's contract if certain conditions are met this season, according to a report.
The Dutchman failed in his pursuits of Champions League and La Liga glory during the 2020-21 season, but he claimed one piece of silverware in the form of the Copa del Rey.
Despite strong links with an exit from the club in the summer, Koeman retained the faith of Joan Laporta for the 2021-22 season, although his deal is due to expire in under 12 months' time.
According to Marca, La Blaugrana will be open to discussing a new deal with the former Netherlands boss, so long as he fulfils certain criteria in the coming months.
The report claims that Koeman is not under pressure to challenge for Champions League glory, but the club expects the 58-year-old to steer the club to the La Liga title as well as incorporating a wealth of academy players into the first team.
Koeman has seen his Barcelona side taken seven points from their first three La Liga fixtures in the 2021-22 season, and the Blaugrana will meet Bayern Munich in the Champions League following the completion of September's international break.
