Sergio Busquets has claimed that Barcelona have goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen to thank for their 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao on Saturday night.
Lionel Messi and Paulinho struck for the La Liga leaders as they maintained their four-point advantage at the top of the table, but Ter Stegen kept his side in the game.
The German custodian denied Aritz Aduriz from a one-on-one position with the game still goalless and made a superb diving save from the 36-year-old with five minutes still to play at the San Mames.
"A huge part of this win belongs to him, he's playing at a great level and was vital in making sure we won the game," Busquets told reporters with regards to Ter Stegen's performance.
"We're happy to have him with us and once again he was decisive in those big moments, at 0-0 and then 1-0 in the final minutes, which would have led to a draw."
Ter Stegen has made 108 appearances for Barca since his 2014 move from Borussia Monchengladbach.
