Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has revealed that he was "very happy" with his side's performance in their 2-1 win over Los Angeles Galaxy on Tuesday evening.
The Catalan outfit opened their pre-season with victory over the MLS outfit, as goals from Luis Suarez and Sergi Roberto proved enough to beat Steven Gerrard's new team.
"Overall, the players looked like they had a good rhythm. We've had a lot of training sessions, but also a lot of travelling and appearances. I'm very happy with the performance," Enrique told reporters.
"For us, at this point in the season, it's clear that there will be a lot of rotation. We've repeated a lot of the good things from last season but we have to improve. The intensity and the play is the same. We'll be a team ready for battle and we can't let down. That being said, I liked what I saw from the team."
Barcelona will continue their preparations for the new campaign against Manchester United on Saturday.
