Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has said that it was "vital" for his team to record all three points against Leganes on Saturday after losing to Alaves in Spain's top flight last weekend.
The Spanish champions suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at home to Alaves in their third league match of the new campaign, but returned to winning ways against Leganes as they recorded a 5-1 victory in the outskirts of Madrid.
Suarez has said that his team "played a rounded game" and hailed the importance of the result ahead of Wednesday's clash with Atletico Madrid at Camp Nou.
"We played a rounded game. They came out with a back four but surprised us with their man-to-man marking. It was vital to get the three points," Suarez told reporters.
"What we like the most is to have games and have rhythm. After the defeat to Alaves, we had to approach the game in the best way because our next game is against a direct rival in Atletico. I'll take the victory and the team's work at a difficult venue."
Suarez, 29, has scored seven times in six appearances for Barcelona this season.
