Neymar has revealed that he intends to take inspiration from Barcelona forward Lionel Messi by turning Paris Saint-Germain teammate Kylian Mbappe into a footballing superstar.
The Brazil international has forged a strong relationship with Mbappe on and off the field since arriving from Barca in August, playing a direct part in 25 goals between them already this season.
After swapping Camp Nou for a new challenge at the Parc des Princes, Neymar intends to help mentor Mbappe into one of the world's best players, much in the same way as Messi did with him in Catalonia.
Asked if the Frenchman is his new best friend, Neymar told reporters: "He is, indeed. He is a golden boy and he's been doing very well. He's a great player and has all the qualities to become one of the big names in football.
"I wish him all the best and I will help him in everything I can. Hopefully, I can do for him the same thing that Messi has done for me."
PSG beat Anderlecht 4-0 in their most recent outing, scoring goals through Mbappe, Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Angel Di Maria.
