Spanish midfielder Xavi has landed in Qatar ahead of his official presentation as an Al Sadd player.
The 35-year-old departed Barcelona at the weekend having lifted a fourth Champions League title with the Catalan outfit.
Xavi's departure from Spain has long been confirmed, but the veteran has now arrived in Qatar and will be presented to the media on Thursday.
The midfielder has already penned a two-year deal with Al Sadd and is expected to play a key role in developing young players over the next couple of seasons.
A future return to Barca in a coaching capacity, meanwhile, is something that has reportedly already been agreed.
