Heading into Sunday's La Liga clash with Getafe, Barcelona have plenty of selection concerns to deal with, as attackers Ousmane Dembele, Ansu Fati and Sergio Aguero are all out of action.
That will see Memphis Depay and Antoine Griezmann continue to start on the flanks in a front three, either side of Martin Braithwaite who hit a brace in their 4-2 win over Real Sociedad on the opening day.
Those three certainly have a point to prove after the departure of all-time Barca top scorer Lionel Messi in the summer, and Depay got off the mark for the season to earn a point in a 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao last time out.
The selection concerns do not just come in attack either, with experienced centre-back Gerard Pique ruled out through injury, while his usual partner Eric Garcia will serve a suspension after a red card last time out, meaning Clement Lenglet and Ronald Araujo should come into the side at the heart of the back four.
First-choice goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen also remains out through injury, meaning Brazilian stopper Neto will continue to deputise between the sticks.
After featuring in more games than any other player in Europe last season, finishing by playing a key role for Spain in both Euro 2020 and the Tokyo Olympic Games, midfield prospect Pedri has been sent on an early holiday before the international break, as Ronald Koeman looks to avoided burning out the 18-year-old.
In his absence, Sergi Roberto should again complete the midfield three alongside Frenkie De Jong and Sergio Busquets, who acts as one of the captains and senior leaders in the absence of Messi.
