Barcelona will reportedly wait until the end of the season before sacking Ernesto Valverde.
The Spaniard, now in his third season at the club, lost a significant amount of popularity following consecutive humiliations in the Champions League against Roma and Liverpool respectively.
Following their 3-2 Supercopa defeat to Atletico Madrid in Saudi Arabia on Thursday, Valverde admitted that his position was under scrutiny.
According to Marca, however, the club's hierarchy has decided to wait until the summer before dispensing with Valverde.
Despite the manager's lack of credibility among supporters, the report claims that the Barcelona dressing room remains in support of Valverde.
Reports have suggested that Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman and former midfielder Xavi are both being lined up as candidates.
