Robert Lewandowski reportedly has no interest in making the move to Saudi Arabia this summer, with the Poland international set to stay at Barcelona for at least one more season.

The 34-year-old moved to Camp Nou from Bayern Munich last summer, and he enjoyed a strong 2022-23 campaign with Xavi's side, scoring 33 goals and registering eight assists in 46 appearances.

Lewandowski finished as the top goalscorer in La Liga, netting 23 times, as Barcelona won the title, while he helped his team secure the Spanish Super Cup with two goals in two matches.

The forward has a contract with the Catalan giants until the summer of 2025, with the option of a further 12 months, but there has recently been speculation surrounding his future.

Having managed to entice Karim Benzema to the country from Real Madrid, Saudi Arabia's vast wealth has reportedly seen them target Lewandowski.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo, despite an 'astronomical offer' from an unnamed Saudi Arabian club, Lewandowski will continue at Barcelona for the 2023-24 campaign.

The report claims that the experienced forward is 'very comfortable' at Camp Nou and is not prepared to leave, having pushed to move to the Catalan giants from Bayern last summer.

Lewandowski starred for Bayern before arriving at Barcelona, scoring 344 goals and registering 72 assists in 375 appearances during a highly-successful period at Allianz Arena.

During an interview with Movistar+, Barcelona boss Xavi said that the forward is "very happy" at the club and praised his leadership qualities.

"He has been the great leader this season. He's very happy here. We are talking about a world-class player. Robert has given us instant leadership. He's an absolute winner," said the manager.

Cristiano Ronaldo famously moved to Saudi Arabia earlier this year following his release from Man United, with the Portugal international joining Al-Nassr.

Benzema, meanwhile, has left Real Madrid to join Al-Ittihad, where it is believed that the Frenchman will be paid in the region of £172m per season.

Lionel Messi is also believed to have been given the opportunity to move to Saudi Arabia, but the Argentine will continue his career in the MLS with Inter Miami. body check tags ::
