The future of Barcelona defender Javier Mascherano at Camp Nou is to be decided soon, according to the club's director Guillermo Amor.
The Argentine, who has 18 months left on his current contract with the Spanish giants, has only made 10 appearances for Ernesto Valverde's side this season.
"What happens with Mascherano we will see soon," Amor told Movistar. "We have to see the movements and how everything happens.
"Mascherano is a captain, he is a winner and he is very important for us, when he plays and when he does not play, when he is injured or on the bench.
Mascherano has won two Champions League crowns in his time at Barcelona, who have been drawn against Chelsea in the last 16 of this season's competition.
