Newcastle United have reportedly denied speculation that Barcelona have tabled a £15m bid for Spanish forward Ayoze Perez.
The 23-year-old was previously tracked by the Spanish giants before he joined the then-Premier League club from Tenerife for £1.7m in 2014.
Following the Magpies' relegation to the Championship at the end of last season, Ayoze was expected to depart for a top-flight side, but according to The Chronicle, no offers have yet been made for his services.
Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez is said to be pleased with Perez's performances during pre-season and is planning to start the season with Perez as his main striker.
The club are said to have "no desire" to entertain any bids for their main man, who signed a new contract earlier this year tying him to the North-East outfit until 2021.
