Borussia Dortmund are sweating on the fitness of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Guerreiro ahead of Der Klassiker on Saturday after the pair were both subbed off with muscle injuries during the 1-0 win at Borussia Monchengladbach in the DFB-Pokal quarter-final on Tuesday.
Head coach Edin Terzic gave an update on the duo during his pre-match press conference on Thursday ahead of Saturday's clash against Bayern Munich, admitting that he will have to "wait and see" about their fitness.
Should the pair miss out, it would be a monumental blow in terms of BVB's chances of ending a run of four consecutive defeats to Bayern in all competitions, given the form both have been demonstrating together down the left flank.
Moreover, Giovanni Reyna is also thought to be struggling with a muscle injury and may miss out, too.
Terzic is definitely already without Manuel Akanji, Axel Witsel and Marcel Schmelzer due to injury, although Thorgan Hazard's return in recent weeks would at least cushion the potential blow of losing Sancho.
Nico Schulz, who has started only one league game all season, would likely replace Guerreiro at left-back should the Portugal international miss out, with Emre Can continuing alongside Mats Hummels at the heart of the defence.
Saturday's test against Bayern is likely to see Marwin Hitz continue to be preferred in goal ahead of his compatriot Roman Burki.
Dortmund possible starting lineup: Hitz; Morey, Can, Hummels, Schulz; Dahoud, Delaney; Hazard, Brandt, Reus; Haaland
