Bayer Leverkusen have headed into half time level with Bayern Munich following a goalless first half at the Allianz Arena in the Bundesliga this evening.
Karim Bellarabi tried to put Bayern under pressure early on when he spotted Manuel Neuer off his line inside the opening five minutes, but Juan Bernat was back to make the block.
The home side soon started to dominate possession, but struggled to create clear-cut chances, with Robert Lewandowski having the best chance of the opening 20 minutes, when his effort was easily cleared.
Leverkusen continued to look dangerous on the counter-attack, but Bellarabi blasted his shot well wide, before a Stefan Kiessling cross failed to find any of his teammates.
Xabi Alonso tried to set something up for the German champions just before the break after Son Heung-Min gave away a free kick on the edge of the box, but the Spaniard's delivery was quickly claimed by the keeper.
