Robert Lewandowski has given Bayern Munich a 1-0 lead over Eintracht Frankfurt at the halfway stage of their Bundesliga clash at the Allianz Arena.
Frankfurt defended confidently early on, but they were threatened when Lewandowski sent a deflected header wide from Xabi Alonso's inviting cross.
Bayern still managed to dominate possession, and the lead belonged to the hosts in the 15th minute when Thomas Muller picked out Lewandowski, who fired a stunning volley past Kevin Trapp.
The Polish striker continued to cause problems for the visiting defence, and he muscled his way into space once again before firing straight at Trapp.
Frankfurt's goalkeeper came to the rescue once again to deny Mario Gotze, who was gifted space in the box after exchanging passes with Lewandowski.
