Former France coach Raymond Domenech has launched a scathing verbal attack on Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery.
Ribery was part of the France squad that led a mutiny against Domenech during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
In memoirs written by 60-year-old Domenech at the time, he described the attacker as a "diva".
"Ribery, he continued to poison the group by his attitude as a susceptible diva," he wrote. "When I wanted to thank him, he cold-shouldered me, pulling his arm away. 'Don't touch me!' For everything Ribery stood for I would have gladly strung him up.
"A senior player from Euro 2008 warned me about Ribery and I gave him the key! What a fool I am."
Domenech left his role with France shortly after the World Cup.
