Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has admitted that he stands a good chance of beating Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to the European Player of the Year Award.
Ribery said that having played a key role in the Bayern side that won the treble last season should increase his chances against his competition.
"I certainly have a good chance because the last season went perfectly," Bundesliga.de quotes Ribery as saying. "I have consistently shown very good performances and I have done everything to win this award.
"I'm excited but also relaxed about my chances."
The decision will be made on Thursday evening in Monaco, along with the Champions League draw.
