Sports Mole looks at how Bayern Munich could line up in Tuesday's Bundesliga clash with Borussia Dortmund.

Bayern Munich will be looking to stretch their lead at the top of the Bundesliga table to seven points when they travel to Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.

The German champions have beaten Union Berlin and Eintracht Frankfurt in their two games since Germany's top flight resumed earlier this month to cement their spot at the top of the league.

Hansi Flick's side are currently four points clear of Dortmund, whom they have beaten in five of their last six Bundesliga meetings, including their last two, where they have scored nine times.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Bayern could line up at Signal Iduna Park.


Out: Corentin Tolisso (ankle), Philippe Coutinho (ankle), Niklas Sule (knee)
Doubtful: Thiago (groin)

Bayern will again be without the services of Corentin Tolisso and on-loan Barcelona attacker Phillipe Coutinho due to ankle problems, while Niklas Sule is unlikely to feature as the centre-back works his way back from a long-term knee injury.

Spanish midfielder Thiago is also a doubt after missing out against Frankfurt at the weekend with a groin issue.

There are not expected to be many alterations from the side that started on Saturday, although Serge Gnabry is pushing for a spot in attack, potentially at the expense of Ivan Perisic.

Thomas Muller has 17 Bundesliga assists to his name this season and should again start just behind Robert Lewandowski, who has 41 goals in all competitions during the 2019-20 campaign.

Leon Goretzka is expected to keep his spot alongside Joshua Kimmich in the middle of the park, while Jerome Boateng should again line up at the heart of the defence alongside David Alaba.

Javi Martinez and Lucas Hernandez are also likely to be in Flick's thinking, but it would not be a surprise to see largely the same XI take to the field on Tuesday night.
