RB Leipzig will assess Angelino ahead of Saturday's crucial title clash against Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich.
The former Manchester City left-back, who is Leipzig's second-top goalscorer with eight strikes to his name in all competitions this season, has not featured since sustaining a muscle injury in the 3-0 win at Hertha Berlin in late February.
The lack of another left-footed wing-back in the squad poses a problem to Julian Nagelsmann in terms of balance, with Amadou Haidara and Christopher Nkunku both deputising in the role in recent weeks.
The 33-year-old will definitely be without central midfielder Kevin Kampl, meanwhile, after the former Borussia Dortmund man picked up his fifth booking of the season last time out in the 1-0 win at Arminia Bielefeld.
Haidara and Tyler Adams are the most likely options to partner Marcel Sabitzer in the heart of central midfield, with Konrad Laimer unlikely to feature having only recently recovered from a knee injury which has kept him out for the entire season so far.
January transfer window signing Dominik Szoboszlai, meanwhile, remains on the treatment table with a groin injury.
There is some good news though, with Dayot Upamecano set to return to the starting XI after recovering from the muscle injury which saw him subbed off in the first half of the 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt last month.
The 22-year-old, who will join forthcoming opponents Bayern in the summer, will undoubtedly be more motivated than ever to deliver a strong performance against his future club, but he will have to make do without central defensive partner Marcel Halstenberg after he tested positive for COVID-19.
Nagelsmann's main selection headache could be whether to utilise a recognised striker in the starting XI, with Emil Forsberg as a false nine working quite well in the reverse fixture and at Bielefeld last time out.
Possible RB Leipzig starting line-up: Gulacsi; Orban, Upamecano, Klostermann; Mukiele, Adams, Sabitzer, Haidara; Olmo, Forsberg, Nkunku
