Stuttgart vs. Wolfsburg (Saturday, 2.30pm)

With the race for Champions League football in the Bundesliga heating up, a win for fifth-placed hosts Stuttgart against Wolfsburg on Saturday at MHPArena could keep them within touching distance of the top four.

Stuttgart's 2-1 victory against Borussia Dortmund in the league on February 8 means they come into this weekend with 35 points, one from fourth-placed RB Leipzig, while Wolfsburg are five points and four places behind in ninth.

We say: Stuttgart 2-1 Wolfsburg

Stuttgart will look to take advantage of Wolfsburg's vulnerable defence, and it is difficult to see the visitors keeping their hosts at bay.

The Wolves have also struggled for wins in recent weeks, and though Die Roten are in mixed form themselves, they should be considered favourites given their strong home record.

Union Berlin vs. Borussia M'bach (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Borussia Monchengladbach will hope to avoid a setback in their quest for European football on Saturday when they travel to Stadion An der Alten Forsterei to take on Union Berlin in the Bundesliga.

Union are sixth last in 13th place with 24 points but beat Hoffenheim 4-0 last Saturday, whereas the visitors are eighth with 31 points and drew 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt on February 8.

We say: Union Berlin 2-1 Borussia Monchengladbach

Union's form has significantly improved in recent matches and they will be confident they can earn another positive result.

Additionally, Borussia Monchengladbach have ridden their luck at the back at times this season, and they could come unstuck on the weekend.

VfL Bochum vs. Dortmund (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Niko Kovac will be looking to win his first Bundesliga game as Borussia Dortmund boss on Saturday when his side travel to Vonovia Ruhrstadion to play last-placed VfL Bochum.

The hosts are 18th with 11 points but earned a 2-2 draw against Holstein Kiel on February 8, while Dortmund were beaten 2-1 by Stuttgart on the same date and are 11th with just 29 points, though they are still in contention for European football next term.

We say: VfL Bochum 1-3 Borussia Dortmund

Bochum will take encouragement from the fact Dortmund have been poor away from home this season, but they have struggled in front of goal in the Bundesliga.

It would not be surprising if the hosts managed to find the back of the net, but it is hard to see them avoiding defeat on Saturday unless they drastically improve at both ends of the pitch.

St Pauli vs. Freiburg (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Champions League-chasing Freiburg travel to 14th-placed St Pauli in Saturday's gameweek 22 Bundesliga action at Millerntor-Stadion, seeking to avenge September's 3-0 defeat to the promoted side.

The hosts' three-match unbeaten run was snapped by RB Leipzig last weekend, and Alexander Blessin's men aim to return to winning ways against a Freiburg side searching for a third top-flight victory on the trot to boost European qualification prospects.

We say: St Pauli 2-1 Freiburg

Although Freiburg ended a seven-match winless run away from home (five defeats) with a recent 1-0 success at struggling Bochum, St Pauli head into gameweek 22's fixture on a two-match unbeaten run on home soil and the psychological edge over the Breisgau Brazilians.

Thus, the 14th-placed hosts should continue their impressive Bundesliga record against Saturday's visitors by securing a marginal triumph.

B. Leverkusen vs. Bayern (Saturday, 5.30pm)

In what could be the Bundesliga title race's defining match, champions Bayer Leverkusen will host leaders Bayern Munich on Saturday at BayArena.

Leverkusen were held to a 0-0 draw by Wolfsburg on February 8 and are second with 46 points, while the Bavarians moved eight points ahead of their hosts following their 3-0 victory against Werder Bremen on February 7.

We say: Bayer Leverkusen 3-2 Bayern Munich

Leverkusen realistically have to win in order to stay in the title race, and they may leave gaps in their defence when pushing forward in search of a winner.

However, while Bayern will likely score once again, the hosts will feel they can exploit the visitors' vulnerable backline and maintain their slim hopes of retaining their Bundesliga crown.
