Two goals apiece from Mario Gomez and Claudio Pizarro have given Bayern Munich a thumping 6-1 win over Hannover.
Despite many changes to the Bayern lineup it did not take them long to take the lead, although it was Lars Stindl who put through his own net in the 16th minute.
Then, in the 23rd minute Franck Ribery made it 2-0 with a powerful low shot into the bottom corner after being played through by Claudio Pizarro.
As the first half was coming to an end it was Pizarro again with the ball in behind and this time Mario Gomez slotted it home for the third goal.
In the second half Gomez added his second with a tap-in after being found by Jerome Boateng before Pizarro added to his two assists with a goal of his own on 72 minutes when he poked in a David Alaba cross.
Andre Hoffmann netted a consolation goal on 85 minutes but Bayern went straight back up the other end and added a sixth with a fine finish from Pizarro.
