Braces from Robert Lewandowski and Arjen Robben have handed Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich a 4-0 victory over Hannover at the Allianz Arena.
Pep Guardiola's side ensured that they were in control early on thanks to Lewandowski, who broke the deadlock in just the sixth minute with a calm finish after collecting Rafinha's lobbed pass.
It didn't take the champions long to double their advantage as Robben cut in from the right wing to fire home from the edge of the box.
Xabi Alonso came close to clinching the goal of the season award early when he unleashed a shot from inside his own half of the pitch, but Ron-Robert Zieler tracked back to flick the ball over the crossbar.
Hannover found it difficult to respond to the onslaught, and their defensive frailties were clear again just before the break when Lewandowski brought down a long ball from Xherdan Shaqiri before slotting home his second of the afternoon.
Despite continuing to dominate possession in the second half, Bayern were unable to create as many goalscoring opportunities, with Lewandowski heading a tough chance over the crossbar from a corner.
Bayern had a great chance to add a fourth when they countered a rare Hannover attack, but Robben decided against picking out Lewandowski in the box and he was eventually crowded out by the visiting defenders.
However, he made up for that mistake by wrapping up the win with a powerful finish after evading a couple of desperate challenges inside the penalty area.
