Benfica manager Jorge Jesus has disputed claims from Scott Brown that Celtic were the better side in their Champions League contest, insisting that the Portuguese team "controlled" the game.
Despite revealing his disappointment at the lack of chances Celtic created, Brown believes that his teammates were superior to Benfica, a suggestion that Jesus rejected.
The 58-year-old told reporters: "We faced very strong opponents, they were very difficult and played strong, direct football, making us drop very deep.
"But defensively we did not let Celtic create a single goal opportunity. Our two full-backs were very strong.
"We controlled the game as we wanted."
Barcelona are currently top of Group F after beating Spartak Moscow on Wednesday evening.
