Benfica have opened their Champions League campaign with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Anderlecht in Group C at home.
The hosts surged ahead as early as the fourth minute when Filip Djuricic was on hand to tuck home from close range after visiting goalkeeper Silvio Proto had spilled out Enzo Perez's shot.
The Portuguese giants doubled their advantage on the half-hour mark through Luisao, who picked up a loose ball inside the Anderlecht area with his chest and slammed home.
Anderlecht stepped up their game in the second half but failed to create anything of note.
