A promising first-half display from Millwall has failed to bring a breakthrough against Birmingham City at St Andrew's.
Millwall made a bright start to the match, and the first sight of an opportunity was for the visitors as Lee Martin fired over after a corner was cleared to the edge of the box.
Diego Fabbrini became the next player to threaten the Birmingham goal with an overhead kick which Birmingham goalkeeper Darren Randolph comfortably held.
The pressure from the visitors continued, and they came agonisingly close to breaking the deadlock when Stefan Maierhofer flicked the ball into the path of Martyn Woolford, whose chipped effort crashed against the crossbar.
Birmingham's struggles were clear, but they were kept on level terms by Randolph when he made a fine save from Dan Harding's powerful effort.
However, the hosts could have been ahead before the break had David Forde not managed to get a vital touch on a shot from Clayton Donaldson.
