Birmingham City boss Lee Clark has said that the referee should have used "common sense" in dealing with Kyle Bartley's sending against Huddersfield Town.
The 22-year-old defender received a second yellow card after taking off his shirt in celebration at netting his second goal in the 81st minute.
"Football is an emotional game," PA quotes Clark as saying. "Kyle hasn't enticed the Huddersfield fans, he has gone to celebrate with his own fans and common sense should prevail.
"Probably under the rules the referee had no option, but you have to be allowed to celebrate. That's what the fans want to see."
The Blues won 3-1 at the John Smith's Stadium.
