Jordan Rhodes's brace has given Blackburn Rovers a 2-0 lead at half time against Charlton Athletic at Ewood Park.
Rhodes was thwarted early on, but the Scotland striker wasn't to be denied and he gave Rovers the lead after just six minutes when he steered a finish beyond Addicks keeper Nick Pope.
Rovers almost doubled their advantage two minutes later but Rudy Gestede's goal-bound shot was bravely headed over by Morgan Fox.
The home side continued to press and Ben Marshall's surge forward resulted in him almost picking out Gestede, but the Charlton managed to divert the danger away for a corner.
Rhodes struck his second of the afternoon when he walked the ball into the net after meeting the ball ahead of Pope and taking it past the Addicks goalkeeper.
