New Blackburn Rovers striker Leon Best is likely to be sidelined for six months after suffering a cruciate ligament injury in his knee.
The 25-year-old became a doubt for Steve Kean's side when he picked up the injury in a 2-1 victory over AEK Athens on Sunday.
The newly-demoted Championship club confirmed the fate of the frontman today following a scan on his knee.
Best moved to Ewood Park from Newcastle United earlier this month.
