Blackburn Rovers are reportedly ready to launch a bid to make Diego Maradona their new manager.
According to The Mirror, Rovers senior advisor Shebby Singh has opened talks with Maradona to persuade the Argentine legend to take the reins at Ewood Park.
Blackburn have been frustrated in their attempts to find a permanent replacement for Steve Kean after being denied permission to talk to both Tim Sherwood and Billy McKinlay.
Maradona is thought to be keen on a return to management after ending a controversial spell in charge of Arabian club Al Wasl earlier this year.
A host of names from across the globe continue to be linked with the vacant post, including Harry Redknapp, Ian Holloway and Gianfranco Zola.
