Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer has backed Jordan Rhodes to find the goal trail again after seeing his striker bag his first goal of the year on Saturday.
The 24-year-old scored 25 goals in all competitions last season, but he has found himself somewhat overshadowed by strike partner Rudy Gestede this time round.
However, having found the net for the first time since before Christmas in Blackburn's 2-1 victory against Fulham at Ewood Park, Bowyer is confident that Rhodes can now push on in the remainder of the campaign.
"He's a top striker who scores goals and we're delighted he's got that one now because we expect him to go on a run," he told reporters. "That's what happens with him. He gets goals for fun."
Rovers moved to within eight points of the playoff places with yesterday's win.
