Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer has heaped praise on "outstanding" Jordan Rhodes after seeing the striker extend his goal tally to seven for the season.
The Scotland international proved the difference against Ipswich Town on the weekend as his brace helped Rovers to a 2-0 home win.
Rhodes is now the focal point of the Ewood Park attack line once more following the summer departure of Rudy Gestede, and Bowyer is confident that his leading marksman can continue to find the net.
"He's reaping the rewards for all the hard work he does," he told the club's official website. "When you consider that he missed bits of the season and pre-season as well, now he's really firing.
"It is not a shock, the amount of work that he does on the training ground on his finishing, it is outstanding. It was an outstanding bit of skill from him after a terrific bit of skill from Corry [Evans].
"He took it early and it was a fantastic effort. The team is playing well and creating chances and there is nobody better to get on the end of them."
Rhodes has scored in each of his last five Championship games to join Nick Blackman and Charlie Austin at the top of the individual scoring chart.
