Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has praised the impact that Yakubu has had since joining the club in the summer.
The Nigerian international signed for Rovers from Everton in the summer and has gone on to score 14 goals.
Yakubu's latest goal came during Rovers' 3-2 win over Queens Park Rangers this afternoon and Kean has been quick to acknowledge the 29-year-old's contribution.
"Since Yakubu has been here with us, he's scored all types of goals," said Kean.
"He's got every type of finish in the book and we know if we give him the service he will produce."
Yakubu has also played for Portsmouth, Middlesbrough and Leicester City.
