Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean is reportedly eager to add former player Colin Hendry to his coaching team.
The Scotsman, who has yet to receive the green light from the club's Indian owners, is believed to have held talks with the ex-defender about joining the new Championship club, according to the Daily Star.
Kean is thought to have targeted the 46-year-old as a way to repair the hostile relationship the management has with the supporters of the Lancashire club.
Hendry racked up almost 400 appearances for Blackburn during his playing career at Ewood Park.
