Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has claimed that he is "very confident" of his team's survival chances this season.
Rovers slipped back into the relegation zone following Monday's 2-0 defeat at home to Manchester United.
Despite the setback, Kean believes that his players have what it takes to stay up.
"I'm very confident," he told reporters. "We are not edgy, we feel as though we are in control and have enough quality.
"We are training at a very high level and it is a positive atmosphere, it is not a negative one at all.
"We are convinced we have got the players and the fixtures ahead of us that we can get ourselves out of this position we are in."
The Lancashire club next travel to West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Saturday.
