Blackburn Rovers have been tipped to launch a summer bid for Oxford United midfielder Joe Rothwell.
According to the Lancashire Telegraph, the newly-promoted Championship side could renew their interest in the former Manchester United youngster, having tracked him during the winter transfer window.
The 23-year-old may be available for a cut-price fee decided by a tribunal, with the report suggesting that Rothwell will not be renewing his Oxford contract.
Rovers boss Tony Mowbray is reportedly aiming to bolster his midfield this summer, ahead of the club's return to the second tier of English football.
Blackburn finished in second place in League One last season, two points behind winners Wigan Athletic.
