Southampton have launched a £6m bid for Blackpool midfielder Matt Phillips, according to reports.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a move away from Bloomfield Road this summer after two impressive seasons for the Tangerines.
Ian Holloway last week threatened to report an unnamed club that had allegedly made an illegal approach for Phillips.
However, Saints boss Nigel Adkins denied allegations of tapping up, but confirmed that the club was interested in his signature.
Sky Sports News understands that Adkins has now firmed up his interest with an offer.
Phillips, who has also been linked with Everton and Sunderland, made his debut for Scotland in May.
