Bologna claimed their first win since gaining promotion back to Serie A by beating Frosinone 1-0 at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara this afternoon.
Leonardo Blanchard had an early chance for the visitors when he met a free kick and sent a header goalwards, but Antonio Mirante kept out his attempt.
The hosts had another chance as Mattia Destro collected a cross inside the box and fired in a strike which Nicola Leali managed to save.
Bologna then took the lead in the 27th minute as Anthony Mounier was picked out by Marios Oikonomou's ball over the top, before lashing a fierce drive across the keeper and into the far corner.
After the break Franco Brienza had the chance to score a second for the hosts, but he could only drill his low strike from inside the box into the side netting.
Frosinone pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages and Daniel Ciofani came within inches of finding the net when his header struck the top of the bar.
Daniele Verde and Danilo Soddimo had further chance to score for the visitors, but Mirante kept out their efforts, as Bologna held on to end a three-game losing run.
