Hertha Berlin have taken a lead into the half-time break against Borussia Dortmund, despite going behind early on.
The home side started strongly and the first effort on goal came from Jakub Blaszczykowski, but his strike from range was quickly blocked by Hertha.
Then two minutes later BVB were ahead. Nuri Sahin played the ball into Marco Reus, who beat the offside trap and got to the ball way ahead of debutant goalkeeper Marius Gersbeck to roll it home.
Robert Lewandowski had a chance to make it 2-0 shortly afterwards but after working space for himself he could not lift the ball over Gersbeck.
Dortmund were made to pay for missing their chances as Hertha were level after a fine counter-attack. Adrian Ramos headed in low to complete a swift break.
It got better for the away team as they scored late in the half through Sami Allagui to give them a lead to hold on to for the second half.
