Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp has said that Tuesday's 3-0 victory over St Pauli in the DFB-Pokal represents a "step in the right direction".
Klopp's side went into the game on the back of four successive Bundesliga defeats, but goals from Ciro Immobile, Marco Reus and Shinji Kagawa earned them some respite.
"With the result and the strong first half, I am satisfied. With the second half I cannot be satisfied," he told reporters.
"We have not done everything right, but we were clearly dominant. We fully embraced the game, we had to develop certain things.
"We can make it better but today was again a step in the right direction."
Dortmund travel away to Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich on Saturday evening.
