Paul Lambert: 'Jurgen Klopp is a man in demand'

Paul Lambert insists that a move to England for Jurgen Klopp is not a formality, although he believes the outgoing Borussia Dortmund boss will soon be at a new club.

Former Borussia Dortmund midfielder Paul Lambert believes that outgoing boss Jurgen Klopp will not have to wait too long before walking into another job.

The BVB chief announced earlier today that he intends to leave the German club at the end of the season, bringing to an end a seven-year spell at the Westfalenstadion.

Speculation is already rife surrounding Klopp's next move, with a number of clubs to potentially choose from this summer.

Lambert, who was dismissed as Aston Villa boss earlier this year, is confident that the 47-year-old will not be out of management for a prolonged duration, although he is not sure whether the Premier League will be all that appealing.

"I don't know," he told Sky Sports News when asked if he thought Klopp would fancy a move to English football. "I think it's unfair to link him to any job where there is a manager currently in.

"I think he will be so much in demand whether it's in Britain or Europe. Wherever he wants to go, the way Jurgen is as a person, as a coach and as a manager, he will be in demand in a lot of places. I don't think it will just be in England."

Klopp has guided Dortmund to six major honours during his time in charge, including back-to-back Bundesliga titles between 2010 and 2012.
